Overview> A matrix is created with analog tools in the y-axis and digital tools in x-axis. A sheet of paper is pinned to the wall at each matrix intersection. Students sit across from each other along a long table. Each pair of students has a minute to choose an analog/digital pair. At the end of the minute, they then race to the board to select it before anyone else does. They then have a 3-5 minute charette to design a new object that cross-breeds the analog and the digital tools. By rotating through several rounds with a new partnership each time, the matrix is filled.
